     An essay, a photograph and an original piece of art
symbolizing a friend who nurtured and inspired them composed the
63-piece exhibit, "Celebrating Our Friendships: An Exhibition of
Delaware Women Artists," at the annual Delaware Women's
Conference held at the University's Clayton Hall. Curated by
Sally W. Donatello, Delaware '66, '92M (left), the contemporary
exhibit, which included a wide range of media from textiles to
ceramics, silversmithing to works on paper, was so popular that
it will now travel the state. Of the 21 artists who contributed
their works, nine are University graduates: Kathleen Buckalew,
'78; Debbie Hegedus, '88; Maria J. Keane, '94M; Judith Showell
Loeber, '81; Rowena M. Macleod, '84; Sema Ohanian Mellian, '82;
Mia Muratori, '96M; Barbara M. Stein '92; and Debbera Stelling,
'78, '84M.
