All in the family

     The DeBoer-Kee family will soon boast three generations of
teachers who have graduated from UD. Pictured at right, Elizabeth
"Betty" France De Boer, Delaware '50, '72MEd, of Lewes, Del., is
retired from the classroom but teaches guitar at the Southern Delaware
Academy of Lifelong Learning. Deborah DeBoer Kee, Delaware '74, of
Lincoln, Del., holds a degree in elementary and special education and
teaches Kindermusik at the Delaware Music School and dance in Milford,
Del. Her daughter, Karen Kee, Delaware '97, who is majoring in
elementary education, intends to carry on the teaching tradition. Not
pictured is Deborah's husband and Karen's father, Edwin Kee, Delaware
'73, '75M, a Cooperative Extension vegetable specialist at UD, who
recently received the George M. Worrilow Award, one of the top
agricultural honors in the state.
