Alums sought as mentors
Alumni and University friends interested in sharing career advice with
students are encouraged to join Dial an Alum. Managed by Career Planning
and Placement, Dial an Alum is a companion program to Day on the Job.
Participants in both programs are matched according to career interests.
Dial an Alum is ideal for professionals who enjoy interacting with students
but find it difficult to host a student at the work place. For further
information and to sign up, contact Sheri Ziccardi in Career Planning and
Placement at (302) 831-1232.

Legacy Day April 24
Legacy Day, a special admissions program for alumni and their sons and
daughters of high school age, will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 24, in
newly renovated Mitchell Hall. The day will include presentations about the
admissions process and the University Honors Program, a student panel,
remarks by President David P. Roselle, a campus tour and a reception in the
Roselles' home. Legacy Day is free but advance registration is required.
For additional information or to register, call Sharon Dorr in the Office
of Admissions at (302) 831-8125.

Alumni can speak out
A newly formed alumni speakers bureau, sponsored by the Alumni
Association Student Outreach Committee, seeks volunteers.
The bureau will provide student groups with speakers on topics as
broad as the interests of alumni. Topics may range from career/vocational
interests and hobbies to yesteryear's campus life. Student leaders will
receive a list of interested alumni and will contact them directly.
To sign up, send your name, day and evening phone numbers, along with
your possible topics to: Alumni Speakers Bureau, Office of Alumni
Relations, University of Delaware, Newark, DE 19716.
