Call for alumni, student nominations

The Office of Alumni and University Relations is accepting nominations for several student and alumni awards and for board of directors positions. The deadline is Jan. 18 for most alumni nominations and Feb. 18 for student awards.

New members of the Alumni Association Board of Directors begin a three-year term on July 1. Full board meetings are held on UD’s Newark campus four times during the academic year. For more information and a nomination form, visit [www.udel.edu/alumni/alum/board.html].

The Alumni Wall of Fame recognizes outstanding professional and public service achievements by UD graduates. The ceremony and dinner are held on Honors Day in May.

The Presidential Citation for Outstanding Achievement honors UD graduates of the last 20 years who exhibit great promise in their professional career and/or public service activities. The ceremony and reception are held Homecoming weekend.

The Outstanding Alumni Award honors those who exhibit exceptional volunteer work on behalf of the University and/or the UD Alumni Association. Awards are presented during Homecoming weekend.

The Emalea Pusey Warner and Alexander J. Taylor Sr. Awards honor an outstanding senior woman and man. Nominees must demonstrate outstanding academic success, community service and leadership.
