Dedicated to Delaware
Elizabeth “Lib” Snedeker Scheuerman AS ’33, of Pompano Beach, Fla., chose to celebrate her 95th birthday on April 27 at UD’s Vita Nova restaurant with family and friends. Accompanying her were her step-daughter Judith Lippe, left, and her 93-year-old brother, Thomas Snedeker. Scheuerman, who majored in education in the Women’s College, taught first grade in Delaware and Florida, but she is also remembered as one of the organizers of Delaware Day in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.. “We held a huge luncheon one day in February during the early ’70s and the ’80s,” she says. “One year we had 800 people, all Delaware graduates.”
