A cutting-edge showcase for student sculptors

“The Grass Always Wins!!” by Adam Vorhauer was on display this spring, at the Clark Garden in front of Townsend Hall, home of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources. Each year, the garden is transformed into a sculpture garden, to showcase the work of UD art students in a natural setting of hollies, evergreens, flowering trees and shrubs. Marking its fifth year in May 2006, “Art in the Garden” is jointly sponsored by the Department of Fine Arts and Visual Communications and the University’s Botanic Gardens Friends. The annual event allows undergraduate and graduate students in fine arts to display their work in a scenic setting and also to help plan and create the exhibit itself.
