Cross country makes the grade The men’s cross country team has been recognized by the U.S. Cross Country Coaches Association for the team’s academic achievements during the 2005 season. Head coach Jim Fischer’s team was among 64 NCAA Division I squads to record a team cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the fall semester. UD was ranked 38th overall with a team grade point average of 3.17 as nine runners achieved a GPA of 3.0 or higher: Matt Bryden, Kevin DuPrey, Erich Komdat, Jeremy Lambert, Sam MacKenzie, Eugene McAuliffe, Mike Roth, Kyle Schmid and Ryan Ward. The Hens enjoyed an outstanding season in 2005 as they finished fourth at the Colonial Athletic Association championships and 12th at the NCAA District 2 championships.
