Homecoming Weekend 2005 will be held Oct. 7-8, highlighted by class reunions and receptions, alumni honors and citations and tailgating football fans at Delaware Stadium.

Individual game tickets for the football contest between Hofstra University and UD’s Fightin’ Blue Hens are available from the box office at the Bob Carpenter Center. Call (302) UD1-HENS for tickets or more information.

Expect a special performance by the Alumni Marching Band and the presentation of Outstanding Alumni Awards at halftime.

To celebrate its 50th reunion, the Class of 1955 plans a Homecoming brunch on the Townsend Hall lawn, followed by a dinner celebration after the football game at the Trabant University Center. The Class of 1960, which will celebrate its 45th reunion, plans a reception from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Clayton Hall. Reunion Row tailgates are being planned for the 1980, 1995 and 2000 classes, and a special reunion for the spirit groups (Blue Hen Ambassadors, Ag Ambassadors, Spirit Ambassadors, mascots, Dance Team, cheerleaders and Marching Band) is in the works.

The Presidential Citation for Outstanding Achievement Awards ceremony will be held
Friday, Oct. 7, in Bayard Sharp Hall.
