On Wednesday, Jan. 5, University of Delaware alumni gathered in Maryland to watch the UD men’s basketball team play Towson University. More than 25 alumni met at Bill Bateman’s Bistro in Towson to enjoy special prices and food at the restaurant before the game, then traveled to Towson University for the 7 p.m. tip-off.

Houston

On Friday, May 13, about 30 Houston area alumni gathered for University of Delaware Night at Minute Maid Park. UD alumni and guests enjoyed appetizers at St. Pete’s Dancing Marlin before watching the Astros host the San Francisco Giants. Although the Astros lost, the game and reception were a tremendous success. Sandra Dunphy ’76, Houston area Alumni Club coordinator, hosted the event and said it was “a glorious night to be at a ballgame.”
