Jon Rubinstein, AG '97, of Wyckoff, N.J., a teacher of mathematics at Columbia High School there, competed on the U.S. tennis team at the 2004 Pan-Am Maccabi Games in Santiago, Chile, Dec. 27-Jan. 4. Some 2,300 Jewish athletes from 20 countries participated in numerous sports, with 212 athletes from the U.S. representing the largest delegation. The U.S. tennis team claimed 14 medals, including a gold, and Rubinstein and his partner, Judy Van Raalte, captured a bronze in the mixed doubles event.
