The College of Health and Nursing Sciences Visiting Committee recently celebrated its 10th anniversary at a special meeting that drew past and current members to campus.
The committee, which was established in 1993, advises the College in such areas as teaching, research and outreach. For the past year, members have particularly targeted ways to address the national shortage of nurses and other health-care professionals.
The 16 members of the committee serve three-year terms and volunteer their time and expertise to benefit the College. They include nurses, physicians and health-care administrators and policymakers.
