New service allows payments online

Students and their parents can now take advantage of Billing and Collection's new online payment service to pay tuition, fees, housing, dining and to make deposits in UD1-Flex card accounts. There is no charge for the service.

"We have received requests from parents and students for a remote method of paying bills and making deposits, and in response we initiated the online electronic payment service in February, installed by the IT-Management Information Services group," Angela Beecham, director of Billing and Collection, said.

"The response from students and parents who have used the service has been positive, and we want to alert others that it is available," she said. "It is easy, fast, convenient and secure and allows parents and students to meet deadlines
for bills or to deposit money quickly."

Users must have a student account number, the amount due, the term/semester being paid for, bank routing number and checking account number.

Users will be informed of the total amount taken from their checking account, can confirm the information and print out the confirmation or receive an
e-mail confirmation of the transaction.
