Alumni Club Events

Washington, D.C.

Nearly 200 members of the Washington, D.C., alumni club gathered at Buffalo Billiards on DuPont Circle on Jan. 29. San Diego

Some 40 alumni and friends in San Diego socialized in the popular Gas Lamp District at an evening reception on March 20. Los Angeles

More than 30 alumni enjoyed a relaxing lunch and played pool at Yankee Doodles in Santa Monica, Calif., on March 22. Pictured above from left are Kalai King AS '96, Michelle Prettyman AS '81 and James Powers EG '48. The event was hosted by Matthew Lengkeek CHEP 2000, the club coordinator for the area.

San Francisco

Enjoying a spectacular view of the San Francisco Bay area, 60 alumni attended a brunch reception March 23 at the Carnelian Room. Pictured above from left are Monai Sonecha, Vatsal Sonecha AS '91M and Cindy Marsh BE '95. Joe Bradley AS '79, BE '80M, director of development for the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, shared news from the University.

Dallas and Houston

UD President David P. Roselle hosted alumni events in the Lone Star State on March 27 and 28. Nearly 100 alumni and friends gathered at Maggiano's in Dallas and the Lakeside Country Club in Houston.

South Florida

Authentic hard-shelled crabs were the draw for nearly 100 UD alumni who gathered in April for a crab feast in Ft. Lauderdale at The Rustic Inn. South Florida Alumni Club President, Cyndy Houck BE '77, hosted the event.

New Castle County, Del.

Young alumni from New Castle County met April 23 at Timothy's on the Waterfront in Wilmington for an event designed to become a regular occurrence for the classes of 1993-2003. Baltimore

Despite strong winds and overcast skies, more than 350 UD alumni and friends cheered the Baltimore Orioles on to victory June 1. Alumni from southern Delaware, New Castle County, Baltimore and the Washington, D.C., area gathered for the seventh annual event. Geoff Kibler AS '98 of Easton, Md., represented UD alumni at homeplate, receiving the heavy hitter award for the largest group in attendance at the game. The Orioles went on to beat the visiting Texas Rangers.
