Established in 1993, the CHNS Visiting Committee advises the College in the areas of teaching, research and outreach. This year, members have particularly targeted the national shortage of nurses and other health-care professionals. Members may serve two three-year terms, then rotate off the committee for at least a year, after which they may be reappointed.
CHNS representatives also attend the commitee's meetings: Dean Betty Paulanka; Associate Dean Pam Beeman; department chairpersons Susan Hall, Anna Ciulla and Lisa Ann Plowfield; and Director of Special Programs Madeline Lambrecht.
