Joslyn Berger, CHEP 2005, of St. Louis, Mo., first visited the University on the recommendation of a college counselor, who at that time had never been on campus. During her initial visit last spring, Joslyn and her mother, Andrea Berger, received enthusiastic suggestions from a faculty member they met on an evening walk around campus and glowing recommendations from three seniors and a UD graduate encountered at a local restaurant. Orientation, an overnight in a residence hall and other contact with faculty convinced Joslyn to apply for early decision. As her mother wrote, "What can't be bought at any price is the gut feeling you get from the people at UD. How do you bottle the UD feeling?"
