Civil rights leader and NAACP board chairman Julian Bond (left) joined Leland Ware, the University's Louis L. Redding Chair for the Study of Law and Public Policy, at an Oct. 5 symposium on the UD campus. Bond was the keynote speaker at the inaugural Louis L. Redding Civil Rights Symposium, which drew nearly 500 registrants to discuss topics related to school desegregation.
