Poetic judgment

Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Stephen Dunn visited campus in the spring to serve as judge of this year's student writing competition for Caesura, the University's literary magazine. Poets and fiction-writers alternate as judges each year, but Dunn was chosen as judge and guest speaker before the Pulitzer Prize committee announced in April that his book, Different Hours, had received the poetry award. Toby Mulford, AS 2001, of Swarthmore, Pa., who won second place for his work in Caesura, said the annual event is a good way to hear and meet accomplished writers.
