UD's Undergraduate Research Program, which serves approximately 600 students and 500 faculty each year, has moved to a new location at 188 Orchard Rd. on the Newark campus.
The new quarters include reading rooms where copies of senior theses, faculty and student publications and reference works are housed and computers are available for student use. The front room, which also will be used to showcase exhibits of student art and scientific posters, can seat close to 50 people for students' research presentations.
Services of the Undergraduate Research Program, which facilitates collaborations between faculty researchers and UD undergraduates, are available to all interested students. Most students earn research credit during the academic year, and many hold research stipends during the summers.
The program provides supply-and-expense grants to students and opportunities for conducting research abroad. It offers opportunities to present and publish research and assists students preparing senior theses for the Degree with Distinction and the Honors Degree with Distinction.
