UD's lacrosse coaches celebrated career victories this spring as both teams defeated Hofstra University in the regular season. Men's coach Bob Shillinglaw marked his 200th career win April 15 when UD defeated Hofstra in overtime, while Coach Denise Wescott gained her 100th career win just five days later. The men's team went on to tie for first place in the America East season play, while the women's lacrosse team took second place in that competition and earned an NCAA tournament berth.
