Alumni memorial concert

A memorial concert for the late Marcia Huber, who taught organ at the University in the '60s and '70s, has been scheduled for Oct. 22 by her former students.

The concert will be held at 7 p.m. in Grace United Methodist Church, Ninth and West streets, Wilmington, Del. According to organizer Harry Cross, AS '72, of Salt Lake City, the concert will be presented by alumni of the Department of Music. Also performing will be Emily Huber, granddaughter of Mrs. Huber, and Grace Brame of Wilmington, known as a singer, author, teacher and theologian.

Among those alumni already committed to performing are Randi Jagel Marrazzo, CHEP '71, a music faculty member at Temple University in Philadelphia; Kathryn Boardman, AS '76, director of music at the First Presbyterian Church, Cooperstown, N.Y.; George Broske, AS '70, composer-in-residence at Grace United Methodist Church, Wilmington, Del.; Carol Wilson, AS '76, organist and recital accompanist in Wilmington; and Cross, who is organist and choir director at Cathedral Church of St. Mark, Salt Lake City.

Other music alumni are invited to participate. Contact Wilson at (302) 239-5959 or e-mail Cross at [Bonita@slkc.uswest.net].

The Career Services Center is eliminating old credential files (containing letters of reference) established between 1985 and 1990. Unless the center is notified by alumni who wish to reactivate their files, the credential files will be destroyed in July 2001 due to space restrictions. For further information, contact Marianne Green at (302) 831-1232 or [megreen@udel.edu]. Official transcripts of grades and student teaching reports will continue to be available through the transcript office (302) 831-1289 and the clinical studies office (302) 831-2319.
