
Sharon A. Keillor, wife of former President Russel C. Jones, died June 17, 1999, of cancer. At the time, she was serving as vice president of Raytheon Marine Co. in New Hampshire and managing director of its manufacturing facility in Portsmouth, England.
Ms. Keillor spent much of her career with Digital Equipment Corp., finishing her nearly 20 years there as senior vice president for software engineering. Before her position at Raytheon, she was vice president of CTA Inc., a communications company in Maryland, and chief operating officer of Watkins-Johnson Co., a California company in wireless communications.
Ms. Keillor is survived by her husband of 23 years, currently a consultant in international education in the Washington, D.C., area; her daughters Kimberly, a recent graduate of Cornell University, currently working for the Personal Communications Industry Association in the Washington area, and Tammie, a third-year student at the University of Virginia majoring in pre-law; and a sister Jacquie Crissinger of Texas.
Jones served as president of the University of Delaware from 1987-88.
