The University of Delaware Library

Sustaining A Legacy

An Ongoing Evolution

The University of Delaware Library is in a constant state of change and growth. That vision of change defines our ambitions for the future. We are challenged to keep pace with technology and with the needs of the University community to access information in many non-book formats. To continue serving one of the nation’s top institutions of higher education, we must look forward.

DELCAT, the Library’s on-line catalog, enables library users to search the catalog of the collection from computer terminals within the Library, from thousands of networked computers across campus, and from any computer with access to the Internet. And the Library is making more and more resources available in electronic form to users of the University network. This includes a growing collection of more than 100 electronic databases, covering virtually every subject. Some of these databases provide references and summaries of journal articles. Others provide full-text articles from a wide variety of journals, magazines, and newspapers.
