Sustaining A Legacy

Society has come to rely more than ever on engineers to devise solutions to an ever-expanding array of problems, from disease and disability to traffic tangles and hazardous waste. Engineers apply their knowledge and ingenuity to make everyday life easier, safer, healthier, and more enjoyable for people everywhere.

At Delaware we are proud of our leading role in educating engineers capable of addressing these issues and in developing innovative approaches to problems through faculty and student research. Our stature in the national and international arenas has steadily increased over the past two decades. We are now poised to stake a place among the elite engineering institutions.

The five-year Campaign for Delaware will provide the springboard we need to ascend to the upper echelon of engineering education and research by:

• providing scholarships and fellowships for talented students,
• attracting and recognizing outstanding faculty,
• promoting discovery-based learning opportunities,
• enhancing research, teaching facilities, and technologies, and
• supporting innovative education, research and outreach initiatives.
