The Campaign for Delaware:
Positioning the University
for the Challenges Ahead
Campaign Goals
Giving to Delaware
Sustaining a Legacy
When we were invited to serve as co-chairs of the Campaign for Delaware, we each had the same reaction. We realized that the University was embarking upon more than an effort to secure private support for its promising educational programs. This undertaking, moreover, strikes squarely at one of the most basic challenges of our time—marshaling the educational resources that are the heart of our nation’s continued vitality.

Each of us embraced the responsibility to lead the Campaign because we knew that this effort is central to the future of a great university—a future that is inextricably linked to that of our state and region. By producing graduates whose endeavors are woven throughout our economic, technological, cultural, and social fabric; by conducting research that has a wide variety of important practical applications; and by establishing strong collaborations with industry, government, and nonprofit agencies, the University is exerting a sizeable influence on the world around us.

From its earliest colonial stirrings, the University of Delaware has benefited greatly from the generosity of individuals like you. We encourage you to join us today in what promises to be a momentous undertaking.
