Charles M. Cawley is chairman and chief executive officer of MBNA America Bank, N.A. He was the senior member of the management team that established MBNA America in 1982. Mr. Cawley began his financial services career in 1963. A graduate of Georgetown University, he is a member of its board of Regents and is also a member of the Board of Regents of the American Architectural Foundation and of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of MasterCard International. Mr. Cawley is a member of the Grounds and Buildings and Honorary Degrees and Awards Trustee Committees.
