Robert W. Gore, a 1959 chemical engineering graduate of the University of Delaware, received his Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of Minnesota in 1963. Dr. Gore is president of W. L. Gore and Associates, Inc. Volunteer activities at the University include the 150th Anniversary Campaign and service as a trustee of the University of Delaware Research Foundation. In 1990, Dr. Gore received the College of Engineering Distinguished Alumni Award. He is a member of the Advisory Committee of the Department of Chemical Engineering. Dr. Gore is chair of the Science, Agriculture and Engineering Trustee Committee and a member of the Finance and Executive Committees. | ||
