Faculty Travel Award

The Commission on the Status of Women is pleased to announce that the Special Travel Award Program has been funded for the 2009-2010 fiscal year. Due to budget and staff constraints, the Special Travel Award Program will only be operating for the spring semester. Applications received for the fall semester will be held and considered for the spring funding cycle only.

The awards are intended to improve the position of women at the University of Delaware in two ways: by encouraging all faculty and professionals to present scholarly papers and participate in panel discussions and other activities dealing with women's issues; and by facilitating the career development of women faculty and professionals. It is operated as a matching fund to assist academic departments and other administrative units in supporting travel for women and for men participating in professional activities involving women's issues.

Application forms are available through the Office of Women's Affairs, in the office or by downloading the form below. The deadline for fall semester submission is October 10, 2008. The deadline for spring semester submission is March 12, 2010. Awards will be reviewed and announced by March 19, 2010.
