Commercial Promotions, Sales and Solicitation of Funds

A. Solicitation
   Policies regarding commercial promotions, sales, or solicitations
are listed in the Student Policies section of this handbook on page
59.
   Questions regarding sales/solicitations procedures in residence
halls should be addressed to the Assistant Director for Residence
Life/Administration. All policy interpretations will be made by the
Office of the Dean of Students.
   
B. Distribution of Materials and Solicitation of Information
   Materials, including printed matter, may be distributed in all the
areas only by registered student organizations after they have been
authorized by the Assistant Director for Residence
Life/Administration. No door-to-door distribution is permitted with
the exception of those items distributed by the Hall Government or
members of the Housing and Residence Life staff in the performance of
their functions. Solicitation of information (examples include, but
are not limited to, surveys, polls, etc.) is not permitted except by
the Hall Government or members of the Housing and Residence Life staff
in the performance of their duties.
