Automatic External Defibrillator Program

The University formalized its AED program through the Department of Occupational Health & Safety in September 2001 when the State of Delaware Health and Social Services, Office of EMS (OEMS) provided ten Automatic External Defibrillators (AED) to the University to place in buildings with large public venues. These AEDs are part of the State's First State, First Shock Program. The goal of this program is to reduce the incidence of death and disability as a result of sudden cardiac arrest.

The links below provide more information regarding the University's AED program administered by the Department of Occupational Health & Safety.
