Eligibility

---

Students majoring in the sciences are eligible to participate in the NUCLEUS Program.
These majors include:

• Animal and Food Science
• Applied Nutrition/Nutritional Sciences
• Biological Sciences
• Biological Sciences Education
• Biochemistry
• Chemistry
• Chemistry Education
• Computer and Information Sciences
• Dietetics
• Exercise Science
• Food Science
• Geology
• Mathematical Sciences/Mathematics Education
• Medical Technology
• Nursing
• Physical Therapy Interest
• Physics/Physics Education
• Plant and Soil Science

Students must also have a minimum GPA of 2.75.

Application Process:
Students who are interested in attending medical or dental school, but are majoring in non-science disciplines are also eligible to participate.

• Complete the following forms: Student Profile (application), Student Contract & Code of Responsibility; Lasting Links Peer Mentoring Program (Mentors are assigned to new students according to availability). NOTE: Application should be submitted on line.
• An interview will be scheduled by Ms. J. Aldridge after forms have been submitted.

Interview Process:

• Please allow 1 week for careful review of application materials before an interview is scheduled.
• Please bring Please bring Student Contract & Code of Responsibility and Lasting Links Peer Mentoring Program application with you to the interview..
