The primary goals of the Office are to enhance the quality of life of Latino students at the University of Delaware and to raise the level of awareness of Latino and Latin American history and culture. Throughout the academic year, the Office sponsors programs that focus on the historical, cultural, educational, political, and socio-economic concerns of Latinos on campus and in society at large. These programs include guest speakers, workshops, dance presentations, films, cultural excursions, and the celebration of Latino Heritage Month beginning in mid-September of each year. Student involvement is encouraged through employment, volunteering for special projects, and participation in our programs and events. |
