Thank you for visiting our site! The Office of Latino and Latin American Heritage seeks to enhance the academic and social experience of Latino students at the University of Delaware. Our Office sponsors a series of events that focus on historical, cultural, educational, political, and socio-economic contributions of Latinas and Latinos in the U.S. and the world at large. Our aim is to raise the level of awareness of Latino culture and history among UD students. These events include invited speakers, workshops, dance performances, films, cultural excursions, and the celebration of Latino Heritage Month beginning on September 15th every year. Most of our events our free and open to the general public. Student involvement is encouraged through employment, volunteering for special projects, and event attendance and participation . Our Office also works closely with student organizations as well as with faculty and staff interested in promoting and enhancing diversity on campus.
