Directions & Parking

The Infant Language Project is in the Willard Hall Education Building, next door to the Deer Park, and opposite the Trabant Student Center. For your convenience, we have a designated parking spot, reserved especially for visitors to the lab.

Our address:

Willard Hall Education Building, Room 224
University of Delaware
Newark, DE 19716

From Wilmington and other locations north of Newark:

Take I-95 South to Exit 3 (Route 273) toward Newark. It is approximately 4.8 miles from when you exit I-95 until you reach our driveway. Continue straight and you will pass the post office on your left. Go through the next traffic light and the road will become Main Street. As you come down Main Street, stay in the right lane. You will pass downtown (shops, restaurants, etc.). After you pass Grotto Pizza on your left and Newark Bagels and Deli on your right, you will come to the traffic light for South College Avenue.

Go straight through the intersection of Main Street and South College Avenue. Make an immediate right onto North College Avenue. After you come over the hill, make a left after McDowell Hall into the driveway. If you hit the railroad tracks, you’ve gone too far. Drive down our driveway. Be careful, as this is an exit too.

As you drive down the driveway, you will see an island. Our parking space is parallel to this island, along the furthest curb from the building. Pull into our reserved space (marked with a small blue sign that reads “Reserved for Infant Language Project”). The railroad tracks will be on your right. Please DO NOT park in any other spot, as you will be towed. If there is a car parked in our reserved spot, please park nearby in the parking circle located at the front of the steps into Willard Hall (but NOT any other reserved spots).

Willard Hall is the larger building with a flight of concrete steps leading up to the back door. When you enter these back doors, the first flight of stairs puts you on the first floor. Continue up one more flight to the second floor. You will see signs at this point to direct you the rest of the way. The lab is located in Room 224.
