| Suzanne Austin is an historian of colonial Latin America who received her Ph.D. from Duke University. She is currently serving as Associate Dean for the Social Sciences and History in the College of Arts and Sciences. Her publications include Native Society and Disease in Colonial Ecuador (Cambridge 1991) and A Pest in the Land: New World Epidemics in a Global Perspective (New Mexico 2002). Her current research project is a study of colonialism and environmental change from a global perspective. |
