Jayne Morris-Crowther, Instructor of History, University of Delaware received her Ph. D. In History from Michigan State University in 2001 where her dissertation was titled, A Challenge and a Promise: The Political Activities of Detroit Clubwomen in the 1920s. She has published some of this research in the Michigan Historical Review (Spring 2004) and is currently working with the Wayne State University Press on a book manuscript. She has presented this research at the Institute for Detroit Studies (October 2002) and the Urban History Association’s Biennial Conference (November 2008). Before moving to Delaware in 2006, she taught at Michigan State and Oakland Universities. Her historical interest remains in American political women.
