The research focus of the Motor Control Neuroscience Laboratory is the control of muscular force. From specialized recordings of motor unit discharge and other related measures, we learn about neuromuscular mechanisms, the aging of the nervous system, and neuromuscular adaptations that occur in response to exercise training or motor learning.
