Current Degree Requirements
How Do I Transfer Into This Major?
The department reviews applications from University of Delaware students who wish to change majors twice a year, with applications are accepted at the end of each Fall and Spring semester. Applications are available 30 days prior to each due date. Students are notified of admission decisions after semester grades are posted. Students not admitted to a major may apply again the following semester.
Exercise Physiology requires a formal application process
A faculty admission committee for Exercise Physiology will make decisions on acceptance based on the following criteria:
- A competitive cumulative GPA (Students admitted into the major in recent years have had GPAs of at least 3.0.)
- Successful completion (minimum grade C-) of the following courses:
- CHEM103 - General Chemistry
- CHEM104 – General Chemistry
- BISC207 – Introductory Biology I
- BISC208 – Introductory Biology II
- HESC205 – Freshman Seminar in Exercise Science
- Completion of the appropriate application form for the chosen concentration. Applications are accepted at the end of each Fall and Spring semester.
