The Keith Handling Scholarship Award was unveiled during alumni party festivities on Wednesday June 23, 2010 in Philadelphia. Keith is pictured here with UD faculty/staff members (John Smith, Courtney Butterworth. Joan Couch, Dr. K., Dr. Reisman, Erin McLaughlin, and Dan Watson) with his award plaque commemorating the occasion.
Although our 2011 Alumni Party just ended please begin to make plans for the 2012 UD ATEP Alumni Party to be held on Wednesday June 27, 2012 at the Morgan Street Brewery in St. Louis, MO. We were there in 2008 and have decided to return.

Congrats to UD ATEP alum (Class of 1977) Mr. John Knarr - owner and physical therapist of Elite Physical Therapy on being a 2011 recipient of the Presidential Citation for Outstanding Achievement at UD. U-Daily story.
Rebecca (Tolhurst) Styers (Class of 2003) writes " I currently work for the USMC practicing athletic training within the recruit bootcamp setting in San Diego. Last year someone came out from NATA to follow us and take some pictures of this different setting. Lucky me, I got my mug on the NATA website under 'Athletic Trainers.' Thought you would like to know a UD alum has made the big time....haha! Sorry I missed the conference this year, as the government didn't have the funding for all 7 of us to go. Jaychele (Emery) Charles (1995) writes (posted 3/29/09) - I am married to BC Charles (also an ATC), have three wonderful girls and expect ing our first boy this month. I am an adjunct instructor at Greensboro College in NC and spend the rest of my time raising a family. Going to miss the convention this year, but hope to see many of you in Philadelphia!
Becci (Tolhurst) Styers (2003) writes (posted 3/10/09) - For a little over a year I have been working as an athletic trainer for the USM C's Weapons and Field Training Battalion at Camp Pendleton in California. I wo rk with the recruits at boot camp as they go through 4 of their 12 weeks of tra ining . I absolutely love my job. On August 2, 2008 I married Billy Styers! He is a fire fighter and currently g oing to Paramedic school. We are living just north of San Diego and are enjoyi ng our first year of marriage.

After 16 years as a part time Athletic Trainer for the Chichester School District the administration finallly recognized the need for a full time position. Although I miss the classroom, I do not miss the extra long days.
