The Spatial Analysis Lab uses computer site facilities in the College of Agricultural Sciences:
- 2 Sun SPARC 10 workstations
- 12 80486SX/33 microcomputers with ethernet connections
- 10 pentium microcomputers with digitizers, CD-ROM drives and ethernet connections
- 3 MacIntosh Centris 610 microcomputers
- 18 networked X-terminals
- 4 networked B&W laser printers
- HP Deskjet 1200C/PS color printer
University campus computer resources include:
- Campus-wide fiber-optics network

- GRASS 4.1, a UNIX-based public-domain raster (grid) GIS with excellent resource
modeling and environmental simulation capabilities.
- IDRISI, a PC-based raster GIS.
- ArcInfo, a UNIX-based vector GIS under University-wide license.
Spatial Analysis Lab staff:
- John Mackenzie, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Resource and Environmental Economics
- John L. Sparco, Ph.D., GIS Instructor and Research Associate
