  1. PURPOSE

    To assure that modifications, installations and adjustments to facility systems* are performed by authorized personnel.

  2. POLICY

    Modifications, installations and adjustments to facility systems shall be performed only by physical plant mechanics, University contractors or other individuals authorized by the Executive Vice President.

    Modifications, adjustment or tampering with facility systems by building occupants or other unauthorized personnel is strictly prohibited.

    Modifications, installations and adjustments to facility systems can be requested via established work order and space modifications procedures.

* Facility systems include heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems (HVAC), plumbing, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, vacuum and air line systems, fire detection and suppression systems, etc.
