Prerequisite:
You must have taken and passed ECON 151 and STAT 201.  If you have not take these courses please see me.  You should be familiar with algebra, simple calculus, and some statistics.  It will also be very helpful to review your ECON 151 notes since this class is an extension of introductory microeconomics.  This course is not for economics majors.  Also be aware that credit may be earned for only one of ECON 251, ECON 300, or ECON 301.

Course Description and Objectives:
This course looks at the application of economic theory to business and managerial decision making.  This includes the theory of demand, production and costs, pricing strategies, market structure, game theory, and long-term planning decisions.

Course Grade Determination:
Problem Sets: 15%
2 Midterm Exams at 25% each
Final Exam: 30%
Class participation and attendance: 5%

1. Attendance is mandatory and expected.
2. When in class please stay until the end of the lecture.
3. If you miss a class, you are responsible for all assignments, notes, and materials given that day.
4.  All assignments are to be turned in on the day they are due. Any late assignments without a University recognized excuse (see Student Handbook) will automatically start at 50% credit. No late assignments will be accepted without a University recognized excuse after the assignment has been returned to the class. All out of class assignment will be available on the class website.
5. Missed exams may only be made up with a university recognized excuse. No exception.
6. Cheating will not be tolerated. Confirmed cases of academic dishonesty will be fully pursued through University regulations (see Student Handbook).
