At the University of Delaware all UD and non-UD students participating in a University of Delaware Study abroad program are bound and protected by University policies governing student conduct, as stated in the University of Delaware's Student Handbook. In addition, the following rules and regulations apply. Please read these and submit the form- failure to do so will result in you being dropped from the program.

I agree to attend all classes, field trips and other program-related activities, and to abide by the faculty/resident director's rules concerning attendance and punctuality. If I travel on my own during the program (long weekends or scheduled breaks, for example), I agree to provide my faculty/resident director with written details about how I can be contacted while traveling on my own, information about my itinerary, and my departure and return dates.

1. I agree not to use, possess or traffic in illegal drugs.
2. I agree to abide by the host country's laws governing the use of alcohol, and agree not to abuse alcohol.
3. I agree not to abuse any property belonging to any host institutions, including those providing living and studying accommodations. If damages are incurred in any space for which I have responsibility, I will be liable for any repairs to or replacement of property, and/or for payment for damages.
4. I agree to abide by all local and national laws in my host country. I understand that neither the University of Delaware nor the U.S. Government can or will shield me from prosecution.
5. I understand that any violations of the University's code of conduct will be investigated and processed through established UD judicial procedures either during the program or upon my return from the program.
6. I understand that breaches of the Agreement and General Release form's conditions will be handled by the director of Overseas Studies.
7. I understand that breaches of University rules will be reported to Overseas Studies, and that other administrators may be notified as needed.
8. I understand that I may be dismissed from the program, even while overseas, for violations in areas such as, but not limited to, the following

• significant, sustained disruptive behavior
• behavior that jeopardizes my own safety, that of other students, or of the program
• any involvement with illegal drugs
• illegal alcohol use and abuse
• academic dishonesty

1. I further understand that if I am dismissed (see #9), no refund and no credit will be given to me.
2. I agree to treat the local customs, behavior and people of the host country with respect at all times.
3. I understand that driving, insurance regulations and driving habits vary considerably from country to country. I understand that the University of Delaware discourages me from driving any motor vehicle. I also understand that neither any host institution, the University of Delaware, nor the U.S. Government can shield me from prosecution in the event that I am involved in an accident or violate local/national motor vehicle laws.
