- There is a mandatory attendance policy in effect from November 15 until the final exam. If you do miss class then you will need to produce proof that your absence is a University of Delaware excused absence. If you maintain perfect attendance you will receive 3 extra credit points on your final exam. For every unrecognized absence 3 points will be deducted from your final exam score. (Wednesday, November 22 is an amnesty day I will not take attendance and there will be no penalty for missing class.)
- There are two extra credit assignments drawn from the Microeconomic Theory and Applications Study Guide, by John Lunn. Each comes from the discussion question and problems sections and is worth 3 extra credit points on the final exam.
Assignment #1 - chapter 10 problems 1, 2, 12
chapter 11 problem 2
Assignment #1 - chapter 11 problem 6
chapter 15 problems 1, 2
chapter 19 problem 3
- The final exam is a 50 minute no cumulative test. Once completed you
will have the choice of taking one of two extra credit mini tests.
Each test corresponds to the material covered in the first two class exams.
The mini tests are each worth 33 points and will be combined with or in
class exam grade to determine your exam grade. After working on the
mini test you can decide to hand it in or not, but if handed in it will
be included in your grade. This means that if you hand in the mini
test one of your first two class exams will average as number wrong out
of 133 total points instead of number wrong out of 100.
