The University of Delaware is committed to ensuring the safe transportation of chemicals on and from the University of Delaware Campus. Chemical shipments may be regulated by the Department of Transportation (DOT), the International Air Transport Association (IATA), and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). International shipments may also necessitate compliance with importation or exportation requirements such as permits. Dangerous goods include, but are not limited to, lithium ion batteries, solvents, corrosives, synthesized research samples, biological substances, water sample test kits, radioactive materials, etc. Below are resources to aid personnel who perform these shipments.
