Resources for Visitors & Guests

The University of Delaware strives to make your visit as pleasant as possible. Most, but not all facilities are accessible to visitors with disabilities who use wheelchairs or scooters. If you have a question about whether the event you are planning to attend is accessible to you, please contact the event coordinator or the ADA Office. Also, visit the accessibility page on this website.

Parking is subject to University regulations outlined on the Public Safety website link on this website. (link) Everyone who parks on campus must have an appropriate University permit along with a state-issued handicapped permit. If the disability spaces are full you can park in service vehicle spots with the appropriate permits. As a visitor on the University of Delaware campus, you can obtain a temporary parking permit through Public Safety. Otherwise, accessible parking is available through the pay to park garages on campus. In addition, patrons with disability plates or stickers can park in any meter in Newark without paying the fees. This does not apply to certain paid lots.

Requests for interpreters for events must be arranged at least 2 weeks in advance in order to make the arrangements. Assistive listening devices are also available upon request. Requests for accessible buses for events must also be made in advance. Contact the event coordinator or the ADA Office to make these requests. If you have any other questions, concerns or comments, please call or email.
