University of Delaware (UD) and The Delaware End-of-Life Coalition (DEOLC) will host an all day forum for professionals and community members exploring living with grief before and after the death. This subject and related issues will be brought to the audience by some of the leading practitioners and researchers currently working in thanatology.

At the conclusion of this conference, participants will be able to:
  • Discuss children’s grief and related intervention strategies.
  • Discuss anticipatory grief and implications for support.
  • Express new understandings of spirituality related to loss.
  • Describe research findings related to grandparent-grandchild grief.
  • Understand the impact of a child’s death in the family context.
  • Acquire new contacts for future collaboration.
