"From Cruzan to Schiavo:  What Have We Learned?" will examine some of the difficult choices families must face to learn more about the current legal and political climate surrounding end-of-life decisions and how to discuss critical issues within their community. Bill Colby is the attorney who represented the family of Nancy Cruzan in the first right-to-die case heard by the United States Supreme Court and is currently a Senior Fellow of the National Hospice and Palliative Care. He travels the country speaking about the complicated issues society faces at the end-of-life. He has appeared on CNN, Larry King Live, Good MOrning America, MSNBC, Today, Hardball, CBS This Morning, and other similar programs, and is the author of two books, Unplugged: Reclaiming our Right to Die in America (2006) and Long Goodbye: The Deaths of Nancy Cruzan (2002).
