Camp Brave Heart
A video that was filmed at a grief camp for teens and features teens from diverse families working through their own grief, sharing concerns, fears and their ideas on how they have coped with the loss of a very close loved one. This is an excellent resource for middle and high schools. Aimed directly at teens, this video moves very rapidly, covering a lot of ground. In fact, because so much intense information is discussed, a 30-second “breather” segment occurs about 11 minutes through the program. A discussion leader can STOP and PAUSE the tape at this point for discussion. Three highly seasoned and “teen friendly” adult grief counselors and spiritual directors reinforce key points. Includes a special introduction acknowledging the tragedy of September 11, 2001.
