The Disaster Research Center's Resource Collection contains the world's most complete collection of materials on the social and behavioral aspects of disasters--now numbering about 40,000 items--and is open to both interested scholars and agencies involved in emergency management.
The publications listed on the site are comprised of the DRC Resource Collection's proprietary book, monograph, and report series, with over 450 publications.
Nearly all of the Disaster Research Center's Preliminary Papers, as well as many papers in other publications series, are available to be downloaded online free of charge. You must have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed to view the full-text of these papers. Download Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0 here. Additionally, abstracts are available for many of the articles listed. There is a search engine available to help you find information on the DRC website, in online abstracts, and in preliminary papers.
All publication orders must be PREPAID in U.S. DOLLARS ONLY. A proforma invoice is available upon request. Orders submitted without prepayment will be returned, unfilled, to the sender.
DOMESTIC: Add 10% to all orders for postage and handling. All items are sent Third-class mail. If you require First Class service, add an additional $1.00 per publication ordered.
FOREIGN: A 20% surcharge must be added to the total cost of the order. All items are sent Third-class mail. If air mail service is desired, add $2.00 per publication ordered.
