Loss Estimation Methodologies:

DRC's extensive datasets on disaster-induced business losses, business interruption, and post-disaster business coping strategies were employed in a collaborative MCEER study aimed at improving earthquake loss-estimation methodologies. This study was undertaken in collaboration with other MCEER researchers who have been working on the development of a "seamless" loss estimation model that integrates seismic hazard analysis, analyses of direct earthquake damage, and indirect earthquake-induced losses within a single probabilistic model framework.
